I tried to search and couldn't find anything.

Anyone know/trust a place online to get meal worms? I figured someone here might have some experience using them.

I'm a teacher and I need a bunch for my classes to do some experiments.

I'm looking for the really small ones--babies.

I'm thinking if I can keep them alive long enough for our field day, I'm going to teach the kids how to catch some fish at the local lake with them afterwards.

Any experience would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Several Anglers who post regularly on this forum use meal worms often and hopefully some of em will reply. Good luck with your experiment! cheers

Side Note: I think Acadamey Sports&Outdoors sells em. thumb

The best place to get them locally is from a Petsmart. If not, you can find all kinds of sellers on eBay.

If you are trying to grow meal worms, the worms you'll find at Academy have hormones sprayed on them so that they turn into 'giant' meal worms, hence, they don't reproduce very well.

If you need the type that will turn into beetles and reproduce, get the medium or large meal worms, not the giant or super meal worms.

I have a burgeoning mealworm farm going right now! I probably have about 500 itty bitty worms growing from my first batch.
