Anybody ever caught any fish at Richland? I know there are a couple fellow Thunderducks here lol...I have caught a bunch of bream, and one bass before, and I have met people fishing there after class saying they have caught nice catfish. Have you ever done well there? Any advice to push me in the right direction to tangle with a few bass between classes?

I have mainly fished near Walnut, but on the side of the little dam thing closest to the building and on the side of the soccer fields

A few LMB first parking lot on the right when you enter off Walnut. Good luck.

Wow i have been out to richland college and saw the ponds, but was told there is no fishing allowed. Sounds like i was mislead. What types of fish do they have stocked, and are they edible/of quality size??

I haven't been there this year yet but I have done well on Trick Worms and baby brush hawgs in the past. Try fishing by the steps on the south side of the Student Center.

I have gotten a couple in the past two weeks with a chartreuse and white spinnerbait...biggest one might have been two pounds but have been told by various people there are decent size bass, catfish, crappie and bream in there, I know there are also big carp and koi in there as well

There are some bass in there but not a lot and you have to work for them.Ive never fished for catfish but there are probably some in there too. The storm sewers drain into those ponds, I wouldnt eat anything I caught out of there. I accidentally foul hooked a carp that went about ten pounds there last year so I know they are there too. Gave me a heck of a fight on light spinning gear.
