HAHA funny post guys. We were not in a fight over this she just thought I was the only fishermen with more than 2 poles. She throws a bait caster too and has caught some 8's but I told her tournaments are different. I think I will keep it around 5 since I am not a very versatile fisherman. Maybe if I was good I would have more but not there yet. Thank you for the votes. I also showed her a picture of this guy.

BTW: You only need one rod and reel. Yiou can only fish with one at a time anyways. +1

Yes, I believe your poll is pointless. If she needs you to "prove" anything, she could care less what a bunch of smelly fisherman think. It would be easier to pay off your mother in law to agree with you. Your wife might buy that line of crud.

I fished with a guy that had every toy a feller could want. Triton 21 ft. 225 merc Lowrance "TV set" on the console something else on the trolling motor 19 rods and reels with lures attached and a tackle box/bag/suitcase that it took two of us to put in the boat...He caught two more fish than I did. I used one rod/reel combo all day and changed color till I found something that would work.
I'm voting for 2 or 3 MAX!

Let her start fishing couple tourneys with you and she will start wanting her own rods like I did! lol...... Now I have at least 5 of my own and I steal more of my husbands when I can!

I'm voting for 2 or 3 MAX! Good for you!! I will admit just because someone has a bunch off stuff doesn't mean they know how to use it. But fish swim and conditions change, you need to be prepared to adapt and have the tools to do the job if you want to be constantly good. Or else every pro would be just dunking worms 200 yards from the launch

I have close to 10 in my boat...but maybe only 3 or 4 on the deck. You never see a golfer play 18 holes with just one golf club.
What did one bass say to the other???...I'd hit that
