I am looking for someone to fish Lake Conroe with. I do not have a boat, but I am willing to help pay for expenses. I have lots of fishing experience, but, just dont have my boat where I am living. I live less that one hour from the lake.
Give me a call if you are interested 409-651-2931

You guys are giving me hope. Every time I fish Conroe I wind up with nothing at all, though I've had a few good days with good fish. Maybe I'll give her a try again. I'd love to fish someplace close to me ( Willowbrook Mall, Houston) instead of spending two hours getting to the bay system.

Anybody want to show a 65 yr old Conroe "rookie" a spot or two?

Hello rich and Hugo,
I have a 20' boat stored at Conroe right by the dam, but i've just got to find the time to change the water pump impeller and anodes. As soon as I get that done, maybe we three could go fishing in Conroe. Let me know if either of you are interested.

I'm ready pretty much any day/morning/evening except Tuesdays ( golf). I have a little boat ( 2 man only, though) but apparently lack knowledge of the lake. Anyone free Monday? rich99sue@yahoo.com

I'll be at the boat stall this friday, weather and work permitting ,and will pull the thermostat and anodes and relief valves for inspection. If all looks good,I'll go out on the lake friday. If y'all are interested, let me know. I've got room for about 3.

Rich,I've only tried to fish in Conroe 1 time, with no success. I tried to catfish over a baited hole and trolled for stripers, but I was with the girlfriend and she got bored and cold,so we left pretty early. I'm open to try anything. Honestly,I don't care what I catch,so long as I have fun trying. If you know any secrets or honey holes,I'm game. Let me know.

Catfish...sorry, I thought you were the Conroe Expert?????

I live near Willowbrook mall and have fished Conroe a number of times, mostly with zero results. I fish West Galveston bay with modest results in the spring and summer. I was hoping to find a place with-in an hours drive or so that I could fish at this time of the year and have a chance, at least, of catching something. Where is your boat barn? RichG TX
