Got the boat out and fished Clear Lake. Light winds this a.m., but when I got on the water, they started to blow.
Water was "dirty." Fished live shrimp all over the lake....shallow, deep, at drop-offs. Free-lined and used a popping cork. Nada. Three cork pull downs, but they were crabs. Even worked some gulls diving at bait. Still nuttin'.
Heard a couple folks got some small drum. Saw one woman fishing from a pier in the channel with a mess of hardheads.
Beautiful day to boat, not so good a day to fish.

Clear Lake is more of a winter thing. Try out in the bay.

Thanks, fishspanker. Yeah, I'm aware of winter fishing in Clear Lake. :-)
Tried the bay just outside the channel first thing, but it was too rough for my 16 footer. So I stayed in Clear Lake.
