What kind of setup, line, hook and sinker would you use at Fork. I want to try it when I come down on the 30th to the 9th. I've never used the technique before.
Also what are you favorite plastic brands.
Thanks for the help.

Any drop shot rod, 12/15# seaguar invizix, owner1/0 rigging hook and 3/16-1/2oz weight depending on depth and wind. Zoom finesse worms, or rattlesnakes.

Yep saw the video and more and more people are talking about it. It never hurts to learn a new technique.
Does it feel like a t rig bite or is it more like a c rig and just feel weight or see the line jump the move.

Every bite is slightly different
Thump Line jump Worm stops wiggle Line swims off Line doesn't fall all the way to the bottom Fish tries to take the rid from you, u set the hook in self defense

I guess now that a Lunker was caught at Fork this weekend, everyone wants to use it so I'LL share a bit top help. The most important part of the rig is the KNOT you use for the hook. You basically want the hook to stick straight out. I use a PALOMAR. Experiment with it until you get it right and you'll feel comfortable that it will work. I use 20 pound Big Game Moss green all the way down. One little warning for you, make sure nobody is behind you when you cast it since the WEIGHT is at the end. Try fishing it straight down tight to timber and watch your line...then SET THE HOOK AND GET HER UP! With the experience I've had reading another forum in the past 20 years, here's a good link: http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/drop-shot.html
