I spent all last weekend fighting with the weather and didn't have much luck down at cedar creek. I am returning this weekend to catch some come hell or high water. Last weekend I scouted out some spots, I like the idea of fishing north east of the causeway marina, ( just north of the bridge in 15 foot of water). Can anyone give me a guaranteed hook up spot so I can land some 50 / 60 pounders? I'll put them back, I just want a few pictures!

Heck I will take some 5 or 6 pounders if I can catch them all day long, I forgot to mention I will be guiding for my son and my girlfriend... I'll drift the whole lake if I have to.

Ain't nothing near bird island or the little island kind of southeast of Chamber Isle.

Spent about 10 hours out yesterday fighting wind and sun and only had a couple of nibbles. Tried to stay behind the islands and in the little/big cove near the old flea market and 334, nothing doing though.

I don't think my shad were Adkins catfish approved

We had great time... I didn't know sandbass bite on old dead shad!

Check the humps north of the dam.

For guaranteed fifty to sixty pounders go to that little ridge that is just south and east of that hump that is just a little north and west of that ridge!!

Thank you everyone for your help! I put some real work into finding fish at this lake and I think I got it, I had a lot of luck fishing by the docks of some big expensive houses. I hear tell they have someone come out and chum the water and build habitat for the fish so they can really bust'em up out there right off the dock. Also, it was windy. We got blown all the way across the lake, several times we drifted over a mile and only caught 1 or 2 fish.
