My first boat and new to Eagle Mountain. What is a good general area to fish for channel cats? I am just looking for a spot to drop the anchor, relax and watch the bobber where the wind will not get you. Any coves with cover? I launch from the park in Azle. Thanks.

The far north end of the lake and position yourself in the reed beds, right now is a good time to be fishing the north end, its about 3-4 ft deep up there so dont go flying up there, you will tear em up in the north end this time of year

I got the boat late last summer during the drought and was exploring the north end (aka $200 damage) but I think I will try it up there again. I always have a back seat open for Mondays for a teacher or a good ole boy. Thanks!
