What is everyone's experience with these rods? I'm sure that they are at least decent quality, and for the price I probably couldn't go wrong getting one. I am looking at getting the 6'10" medium heavy.

I have two KVD cranking rods and they are worth the money. Good back bone to them. Look on Ebay for better deals because I bought mine for under $200.

Wal-Mart has some for 129. I would buy a longer rod for cranking.

Another TFF'er named Mudd uses em... all I can tell you is don't get in a casting contest with him because you will lose. He love's em paired with a Quantum reel.

I have 3 of the 7'10" MH. Love them and thinking about trying a 7' MH for square bills. I can zing a 6XD almost too far.

Good composite rods. LOTS better than BPS Crankin' Sticks, but the price is higher as well. Good balance, good backbone, just a touch too whippy for me, but I prefer graphite all the way. Dobyn's 805 CBRM is the way I go, besides the cusetom built rods I use. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

arn't there two versions of KVD's rods now? I noticed because the price difference and one of them I noticed things like decals stuck on and you could have peeled them if you wanted vs actually being epoxied over, things like that

There are two versions. Regular KVD which are dark grey and cheaper and then the Tour series that are red and more expensive. Just looked at a 7'10 Tour that was $139. Cheaper than Bass Pro or Tackle
Warehouse. Also considering getting one so I will be following this post.

Nice rods, but real easy to break the tip off...twice!
