I know that these two lakes have limited bank fishing but where is a go place to do some catfishing? Walking some is not an issue.

Never been to Sandlin and haven't been to Cypress in 10 years. Cypress had nice homes and boat houses all the way around it. Believe I'd try rip-rap around the bridge. Sorry can't be more help.

Most of the shore on this lake belongs to home owners, but you can bank fish in all of the state parks on the lake.

I would try the dam. I've caught a lot of catfish while bass fishing the rocks with crankbaits from now till around the 1st of June. They should be spawning there soon if no already. Just make sure it's legal to walk on the dam if you're bank fishing. I have seen several people fishing off of it over the years but I know that doesn't make it legal. Good luck

I email the Franklin County Water District and it is prohibited to fish from the dam. Any other ideas where would be a great spot? I have been fishing off of a point at Overlook Park as well as in a cove and have not had much luck.
