Has anyone fished Hubbard lately....particularly in the morning?? I have heard that RH can be a pretty good lake when it is on. I am not asking for anyone's secret spot but maybe just a little hint on where to look. I will probably be myself and hope to stumble on to a few fish. Are y'all catching any Hybrids? How do you target those without catching Sandbass instead? What color are y'all using!! Thanks

I'll be out in morning. Sassy shad and fiesta slabs in any color but Chartruese. Never throw the Chartruese three in Sassy shad. Nope don't do it. I'll be in red nitro. Just watch out for the guide in fish master and guy in pontoon. They will be out there running over the fish.

For easy Sandies, just go to the jetty and be there at daylight. I like to throw prism slabs with a little chartreuse. But my buddy caught some decent ones using the shad colored sassy shad with lots of glitter. You'll catch a lot of small hybrids mixed in. The bite will be over at about 8 to 8:30 and Fish Master loves to run through the birds and the "Toon Boat" likes to troll through the area too. I had it happen to me three times this week. I'm trying yoga to manage my anger, but seriously, be on the water early and watch the birds or use your depth finder to locate the schools of fish. The lake is stacked right now with White Bass and Hybrids.

Try flipping a jigging spoon around the dock posts at Marina Del Rey, the Hybrids are spawning there right now and its easy limits!!
