I am going down in July and was wondering if anyone has fished Destin FL, and reccomends a guide for bays or inshore.
Specificaly a Kayak Guide would be great.
Thanks in advance

Check with Steve Gibson at www.shallowpocketsfishing.com and see if they have a contact in the area. I went out on a party fishing boat from Destin once, but it was part of a weeding weekend thing. Caught fish, but we were shoulder to shoulder. Would have much rather been out paddling.

Look up Capt Linda in Panama City. She is a tip top kayak guide for both bay and gulf. In July the gulf is on fire and she can put You on snapper, grouper, kings and possible shot at a mahi mahi or sailfish. You can fish the bay for reds and trout here in Texas. You can't easily do the gulf thing here. Do something you can't do here. You will thank me.

According to Cpt Linda's site she isn't booking trips due to a lower back injury.

Ask Capt. Linda for a referal. There are several great kayak guides down there for offshore greatness. Also check out pensacolafishingforum.com busy site with a great kayak section. There are several guides hanging there. Also good info on whats running at that time.

Thanks for posting that up Snags! That was a fun fish and a crazy day for it being that early in the season here.
Let me know if you are in the area and want to get something together. I specialize in the Gulf but just got back in from night fishing the lights in the bay. Thats a good time especially in the heat of the summer. There is all kinds of great fishing here which is why I live in Santa Rosa Beach now. I love Texas but I also love Tarpon and Sailfish out of a Kayak in my backyard.

I have always dreamed of going after some big fish in the gulf. My family stayed at destin last year for the first time and we loved it. I wanted to fish so bad I went to walmart and bought all cheap gear and fished off the beach. The waves were huge so I only got one fish but it was worth it. If we go again this year (I think we are) I am going to have to convince my dad to get us out there! He is not an outdoors man at all. By not at all I mean 0% out doors man. Could you guy accommodate him? Also how late do you guys take reservations? This thread may have just gotten you guys some business all the way from Texas! Oh man I am getting excited reading yalls website! If we do end up going to florida I will be through yalls doors without a question. fjdsahkfjlahsdfk I wish I could go tomorrow but I am stuck here in Colorado studying for finals jfhkaslfhasj! Well should be studying for finals hahah except im day dreaming about hooking some fish in the gulf!
