We camped at the state park 2 weeks ago. I saw some guys with talapia at the cleaning table. Did see a few small bream caught at the boat ramp dock. They caught more fish than our one bream that my grandson caught on a worm. It is a pretty lake but we couldn't get a bite. It's kind of strange, no fishermen on the lake to speak of and no fish. It's a power plant lake and the water temp was around 85 degrees.

It still hasn't recovered from the fish kill. I hav a friend that lives there and said they can catch tilapia and catfish in numbers.

Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right

Nobody has ever caught many Crappie out of that lake. Since last years drought that lowered that lake to very low level and some reason there was a fish kill before that. Talapia are netted and some cat are caught and also some Redfish on hooks. There are much better fishing lakes to be found other than Fairfield.
