 73 crappie at Joe Pool

It took 73 crappie to get 29 keepers today. They were all 10 to 14 feet down, but they were all suspended.

not a bad ratio, especially from Joe Pool. Keeper at Joe Pool is 6", right?

I fished trees in the mouths of the creeks that had atleast 17 feet of water on them. The trees had to have a lot limbs and had to be in the middle or on the edge of the creeks. I had to move around a lot. I would not stay in one place too long, unless they were biting fast. I did go back to trees that produced. I did that all day. We had 5 between 14 to 15".

I forgot to add that we only caught them, because we pulled a 4 inch shad out of the mouth of one of the first crappie caught. After that my buddy handed me a 3" crappie swim bait and then it was on.
