Different lines for different techniques just like rods.
I can backlash toilet paper.

Copoly, STRECHY like a dang rubber band... Flouro, not stretchy, though slightly more so than braid. Copoly in my experience is more abrasion resistant(sweeping generalization). Honestly the only place I use it is on Carolina rig leaders cause I have part of a left over spool...
I'm straight braid of Flouro now.

I have been using 17 lb Gamma Co-poly for several years as my general purpose on bait-caster. Sinks like Flouro so it's not my choice for topwater. Still use Mono for that. I have a jig rod with 20 lb Flouro. Braid for swimbaits and frogs. All spinning rigs still get Trilene XL.
In my opinion, Co-poly fishes much better (no memory, cast-able, etc) than any other line I have used. No issues with knots or line breaking.
And I know who "Jeff" is.

I love my Tectan copoly, and, use it for most set ups with the exception of braid for froggin and heavy vegetation....Much better handling than Fluro and contrary to what most think, not much more stretch than fluro.

I haven't tried Gamma or tectan, and I'm curious what flouro yall tried. I tried P-line and the memory was AWFUL. To each his own and like I said different companies can be better or worse

The tests that I've seen show that fluro stretches nearly as much as most mono.Invisibility is only slightly better for fluro over mono, and fluro has less knot strenght than mono....The advantages of fluro are that it has a faster sink rate and is more sensitive than mono because of its density, although fluro is not as manageable as mono....The reason the knots are not as strong with fluro is that its bending stress level is lower and wetting will not help that.

used it for the last 6 years with no break offs on over 20 rods- the only exception is on top water- the best I think and it saves a lot of wasted money for me

Lines I use and have had good luck with.
Fluorocarbon--Invizx very good all around fluorocarbon. P-line 100%, good line for the price per yard, (250 yd spool). It usually is priced about the same as other fluorocarbon lines with 200 yd. spools. P-line Halo--This is a very strong fluorocarbon line but it does have a lot of memory because of that. I use it for 3/8 jigs and heavier baits so the memory isn't an issue for me. For lighter baits I use either the P-line 100% or the Invizx. Co-filament lines--McCoys Mean Green is one of the best. I also use P-line premium and P-line CXX. CXX is very strong and again it does have a lot of memory so I use it with heavier baits and as a main line for a C-rig. Mono--one of the best mono's out there is Berkley Big Game. It does retain a lot of memory but it is reliable and it is cheap compared to the other lines.

15. Signature images may not be larger than 600 pixels wide by 125 pixels tall. This includes logos, photos and other graphics. Also, no more than one row of images are allowed. If you want four or five logos in your signature, reduce their size to fit in one row. psalms 91:1-16

I stretch all my line after spooling to remove memory and floro has as much stretch as most mono's and my copolymer only stretches 5 ft at 75 yards.Seaguar abrazX and invisX 12 ft or more at 75 yards and big game about 15 ft at 75 yards. Unless you try stretching it for yourself you will never know ? I have been able to fish just about every kind of line out there and I always go back to my copolymer everytime. It is tough cast good and very strong. If it is not broke dont fix it !

Not my experience. I can feel the difference on the hookset with P line 100% FC vs. P line Copolymer in the same pound test. The 100% FC has less stretch.

I have been using McCoys Mean Green since 1999 for my main line for most applications. I dislike the stretch for C-rigs, but other than that, I like it for almost anything, INCLUDING topwater. NO MEMORY and stretchy and abrasion resistant, PERFECT for SB, CB, TW,Shakyhead, drop shot,etc.. I use braid for froggin' and jigs. Hope this helps.
Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.
