Wish I had not of read that.

I LIVE IN SNYDER AND FISH AT JB THOMAS ANOTHER QUESTION I HAVE IS WHY DOES THE STATE NOT TRY TO GET ALL THE FISH OUT OF THE LAKE BEFORE LOW OXYGEN LEVELS KILL THEM. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THE CRMWD AND EVERYONE ELSE IN CHARGE OF SUPPLYING THESE CITY'S WITH WATER WAIT UNTIL YOU HAVE NO WATER LEFT TO START PLANNING WHAT TO DO. ITS NOT LIKE YOU CANT TELL THAT THE LAKE IS DRYING UP EVERYDAY YOU GO OUT THERE. AND NOW EVERYONE IS BUSTING THERE BUTTS TO TRY TO HURRY AND FIX THE PROBLEM AND YOU KNOW THE GOVERMENT WANTS TO KEEP EVERYONE WORKING WELL PUT ALL THE UNEMPLOYED BUILDING THAT PIPELINE FROM THE Mississippi RIVER IT WOULD BE A WIN WIN FOR EVERYONE. I KNOW GOD WILL PROVIDE FOR US !!!!!

I agree about a pipe to Amistad being a band aid not a cure. We don't even have full control of the dam at amistad if memory serves. The Mexicans let water out whenever they need it right?

The Mississippi thing is possible I guess but WOW that would be a HUGE undertaking.

Does TPWD have a plan for saving any of the genetics from Ivie? I think they should pic up all fish over 5, that would give you more age classes. Take some back to the hatchery's in east texas, and split the rest up in closest lakes that look like they will be ok. That way you have fresh genes in some of the breeding stock tpwd keeps and you refresh other lakes too... It would be better to do it now than in the hottest part of the summer.

Worst comes to worst you at least use the genetics available and maybe even improved if you let fish breed with the trophy strains from other places and could restock if you did get rain at a later date. It's impossible to get ALL the fish out of there so maybe you would get lucky and some would survive but it would be REAL tough on them

My prayers for rain and for Jerry,

This would be a real WIN WIN :

The country is about to fall back into a recession so;
put Americans back to work, instead of building the Hoover Dam, they would be building pipelines. I would rather have the people claiming well-fare work for their means than just receive them.
