I know it's a ways away but the boys over at the Drake inspired me. My company does a big thing every November for prostate cancer. I'm putting out some feelers to see if people would be interested in doing a fly tie donation and auction for boxes of flies for the prostate cancer foundation. Ideally we'd do a warm, trout and salt water fly box with multiple flies in each. Would there be any interest here on TFF? Just an idea.
Thanks

Ryan

That's definitely a point of interest. Please toss in some more details!

Its an idea that I would love collaboration on. I figured that with all the talent on here we could get together a couple boxes and auction them off on some site, 100% go to the prostate cancer research. We don't do the event until Nov (prostate cancer awareness month) so there is a lot of time to get ideas together on how it would go. Maybe something like 5-10 flies, tiers choice, and we could get together enough to make it something interesting

I think it's a great idea and I'd be happy to contribute.

Maybe you get a couple of the local clubs involved to auction the fly selections at one of their meetings.

Yes, count me in. Also the Fort Worth, Dallas, Red River, Brazos Valley, Piney Woods and a few other clubs are represented here. This could get really big really fast!

Guys this is amazing! With the great response I'm gonna starting trying to get the logistics of it all and maybe and idea of exactly what we would need.
