I have a 21'center console that I fish out of. I usually go every weekend and occasionally during the week, but with gas price the way they are, it's too expensive to go alone. I usually fish Tawakoni, Texoma, and occasionally Lavon. I usually start very early in the morning and catch shad. This means being on the water before 6 am.
When I go to Tawakoni, I fish for sandies using artificials early up until about 8:30-9am or up until I catch my limit. If I haven't done so by 9am, then I head out and bait fish for Hybrids and stripers. I occasionally fish for cats 2-3 times a year. At Texoma, I only fish for Stripers. Once again, I try to catch bait early. I then like to fish artificials such as top-water or jigs for an hour or so. Then I bait fish.

I live in Plano and if anyone is ever interested in sharing the gas bill, I'd be more than happy to have you in my boat. My boat is rated to seat 9 folks but I never do that. 3 people is good, but 4 is the most I like to have in my boat. I want folks that respect other people's gears and property and just like to fish. Some people say I should be a guide cuz I usually find and catch fish, but that would be work.. smile I just enjoy being out there. If I catch fish, that's a bonus.

Anyway, drop me an e-mail and use TFF Fishing Partner as a subject. EPFISHON @ AOL

Oh, by the way, I still hold the Red River Striper record.---Just a little bragging right smile

I guess you don't have mail, I just got an email kicked back telling me that you are not accepting mail from me, so will post back to the forum.

I live in Plano, and would be glad to share expenses for a seat in the boat. I have only been here a little over six months, so have a lot of questions still as to best baits and lures, etc. and still am stocking my tackle box with what works. I can't go this coming weekend as I am going bay fishing out of Galveston, but could go most weekends. I would also be able to go early some weekday mornings, but have to be back home by 10 to watch the kids so the wife can go to work, gainfully employed spouses are such a joy....LOL. As such Lavon would seem to work the best as it is closest.

I went to Richland-Chambers with another TFFer last week, caught a couple of sandies and a small striper. We were bank fishing, and even though I left Plano at 3:30 am I think we would have done better if I had arrived a half-hour or an hour earlier.

I am currently looking for work, and once that happens my schedule is likely to change, but still should have weekends free.
Email me back or give me a call 214-207-6759.

Sorry, I didn't realize my e-mail was blocking folks. I just set it up to accept. It should be fine, now.

Fishrman, what area of plano do you live?

Shadboy, Sache is on the way to Tawakoni. I take 190, Rowlett rd., to 30 to Tawakoni.

epfishon,

Taxidermyman and I would be interested. We are available on the weekends. We could possible swing a day off during the week. We love to fish Tawakoni and Lavon. We have never fished texhoma but would definatly be willing to give it a shot.

Give us a shout if you need two partners.

Happy Fishing,
Michelle

Wow, there's alot of TFF'ers interested. Don't know why I didn't think of this sooner. Been going alone alot or been going with someone who frets on helping to pay for gas. Plus,we always fight and sometimes a pain in the butt. He can't even back up a trailer--and he has a boat smile .

Michelle, drop me an E-mail of the type of fishing you and Taxidermyman like doing and how to get a hold of you guys. Mesquite is certainly on the way to Tawakoni.

I'm tentatively planning a trip Sat. to Tawakoni and possibly Texoma the following week. If I can't take you this this coming week, I'll keep you in mind for future trips. That goes for everyone interested. As I said, 3 is good, but 4 would be ok. There's plenty of room for 4. Just don't like to have a crowded boat.

I know it may a little more of a drive but have you thought about Cedar creek lake?
I have a friend that fishes Tawakoni regularly and says fishing is great right now. I guess I need to hook up the boat and drag'er up there.
P.S. I know what you mean about folks respecting your stuff. Some folks just dont care.

Thetexasframer, I've been to Cedar Creek lake 2-3times in the past. Never had too much success. I hear hybrids and sandies are great there as well. Will try it again when I get bored with Tawakoni or Texoma. How's the boat traffic there?

Boat traffic is pretty rough on the weekends. And now with summer here, I'am sure it tough...

epfishon, I would be more than willing to share the gas expenses with you to go to Texoma or Tawokoni. I recently retired (last november) and love to fish Texoma for Stripers. Check your email and thanks for the offer.
