Headed down to Richland Chambers next weekend for a 3 day fishing trip. I have never been on the lake so any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Little Jon what type of fishing are you trying to do? Largemouth, sandies, etc. If you're fishing for LMB and don't know the lake, we fish either tank dams, humps, or long points. Since tanks and humps would be hard for you to locate without spending a lot of time, points would probably be a good bet. An easy place to find is Hickey Island on the northeast side of the lake. It will be on any map you look at. Good topwater early and late, and sometimes sand bass will school in that area early. Also a lot of bass come off of the boat docks down there. Ask someone how to get to Blue house cove. Good creek channel and good point to try and pretty easy to find. There was some good grass there earlier this year, so I's sure that would hold some fish as well. For sandies or hybrids, the dam area always seems to have some fish schooling early and late. Be careful if you don't know this lake. LOTS OF UNDERWATER STUMPS! Good luck and be safe. TB
