Thursday afternoon Pat & I arrived on the lake at 7:30 pm and headed south to try a new area. We boated 12 bass with 5 keepers the largest going 3 pounds. Late afternoon thunder storms were building in the immediate area with spectacular lighting displays. We headed to a spot closer to the camp when the wind started to exceed gale force so we decided to head to the boat shed. Im can tell you that running in a 3 foot chop at night isnt funny, you cant see to judge the waves, and damm near ended in a stump field.

Friday started out horrible with the rain starting early in the morning and continuing all day. It was 9:00 pm before we headed out but it turned out to be very productive. The first spot, the first cast produced a healthy 5 pound hawg. We worked the deep water structure until 2:00 am boating another dozen bass.

We fished deep water structure (15 to 20) using Texas Rigs only thumb

The morning bite has been from 6:00 to 9:30 and the evening bite has been from 7:00 to 9:00. Anchor on deep water structure, fish with Texas Rigs or Jig-n-Craws, work em real slow.

Where is your camp exactly? I have a friend who lives between Johns and Housen Bay Marina. You know where the big A frame camp (water front) is between the two, he is directly behind it.

I am at Flings Point, first creek to your right headed east from Housen bay marina. I have a trailer in the interior. Hopefully ease out of here 1st thing in the morning, clean up around the camp, eat, take a little siesta, and wait for my pardner to show up. I will hit the south side of that ridge north of Fin & feather first off and work towards Jacks 944 then probably head out past Fox's lodge on the side of south Housen bay boat lane. Hump adjacent to deep water. SRA website said the lake was 166.82 and falling. Red Express with a 90 hp Yam., I am the one with with a white ball cap and blue bill in the front and my pard. in the back. Louisiana numbers on the boat.

Dude you kidding me clap

I know that coves like the back of my hand, caught hundreds of bass out of there. The East side point of that cove where they have built a new seawall.

We just call your next spot South Bank

Speaking of 944 I can tell numerous places to fish there, I even know Bull Creek well enough to get all the way to the very back.

I have fished Housen-n-Six Mile area extensively for the last 9 years. I fished Toledo Bend for the last 33 years and know it quite well.
