well i had today off so I slpet in. Then i was gonna hit the local pond but I took my yak to grapevine. It was a great idea i ended up catching 8 cats with fresh shad on a bobber 1-6 feet of water. best 2 went 20 and 21 inches no wieghts though my puppy thought it was his toy...

Nice catches! This is going to be my first summer of really getting into fishing. I live 10 minutes from lake grapevine and plan to buy a kayak to fish with. Any tips you could give to a new angler about lake grapevine?
