I'm considering purchasing a '90 hydrasport 2200cc with a 200 evinrude. Any input from you guys about this boat manufacturer?

Hydra sport makes a good quality boat. I believe they were the first to use kevlar Bullet resistant fabric in hull construction they were the first to use duralite laminating process which added thickness to the hull with very little weight. I also remember them running a 32,000 lb bulldozer up onto a bassboat hull and off all day with barely a scratch on the hull still have pic in my best of bassmaster. Hope this helps oh yeah Earl Bentz was running Hydra Sports at the time.

I have a 96 Hydraskiff 21 (rolled edge-no liner) and it has been a wonderful boat. The ride is smooth and dry which is good considering what I have heard about the Hydrasports bass boats. It will do about 50mph with a 150 Johnson. The worst thing about my boat were the storage lids but with a lined boat that shouldn't be a problem. I would buy another one. Hope that helps.

I think the newer Hydrasport boats are probably well built but I had an 87 and the transome came out, not rotted, it came loose from the stringers/bracing, very poor workmanship on it. b

If I'm not fishing or hunting I'm hunting a place to fish or hunt.

I had heard that about the earlier Hydrasports-particularly the bass boats...and it makes me wonder if that might have been before OMC owned them....

I had a Hydrasport bass boat. The only boat I ever owned whose transom went bad.

You should have had a Kingfisher....that would make 2 boats with bad transoms for you!
