Having own many pairs of sunglasses over the years, polarized brown lens is the best IMO.

I just got a new pair of black after breaking my brown. I noticed that I can see the shimmer on the water. It cuts the glare but not the shimmer. Has anyone ever notice that? Don't know if I like it.

Black, looks best but if your not just wearing them to look cool, and you actually use them to block the sun, red is the best by far. Those red reflective lenses work wonders, even more so when the sun is rising up over the water in the morning. Other than I don't think the color of the lens matters much, in the ways of clarity, and visibility into deeper water. For that you'll need a high polarization

Blue costas! Good general purpose for overcast or bright sunny days.

Blue Costas for freshwater...if you wear them and compare it to other brands you can tell a big difference. The blue Costa lenses makes the yellow, reds, and browns pop out more allowing you to see the bottom and what hiding in vegetation
I don't really know what to type here.

Green mirror for area lakes, blue mirror for offshore. Ive had just about every type of polarized lenses/sunglasses and currently I wear my blue mirror tripletail costas with the 580G lenses.
I prefer my green mirror costas for fishing lakes but theyre currently sitting in the bay in west palm beach FL...

I like the amber color. To me it makes things a little bit brighter. Helps a lot on overcast days.
