Thanks for all the input, guys. Feel a little less overwhelmed by the options now. Also enjoyed reading the HB vs. Lowrance thread that bubbled up yesterday. Seems like a Ford v Chevy decision.

i'd get the HDS 5 For sure a ton more options when you want to upgrade some later (adding SI & DI)

What's the additional cost to adding si and di? Is it just a separate transducer?

i just bought a hds5 and it does come with a transducer.
