I am planning on fishing Palestine Thursday thru Sunday & was wondering if anyone would share some info. What depth are they holding at now & has anyone had any luck shooting docks lately. what color jigs are working, ect ect. I am planning on fishing midlake area from the village ramp south to the saline bay area. Thanks in advance for any information & i will post my results after the trip.

Last I heard (just before the lake was closed ) was brushpiles in 12-15FOW and docks were beginning to warm up. No specific color's mentioned but blk/chart is always good this time of year and if I could get on the lake (if it wasn't closed ), I'd be trying a Joker's Wild or Sour Grape Slab Bandit.

Thank You Captain Friendly ..... Whoops, Pepop is talking about Richaland Chambers. Palestine is in a Crappie Drought Pattern. Just a few DINKS being caught. keith

Dinks is the word, I have probably caught about 20 with only 5 keepers and they are just barley legal. Docks are slow and to windy for the open water at the bridges. open for suggestions if anybody has some light to shed.
Thanks Daniel

Have fun keeping the bass off your hook if you try shallow OR deep. Those rascals are aggressive right now. Try to find brush in 18-20 ft.
If that doesn't work, try a stump with a beer can tied to it!

Thanks for all the help fellas, it was a dissapointing trip to say the least. In 4 days of fishing maybe 50 fish with only 35 or so keepers. Nothing like years of the past, has anyone else noticed that palestine has been down this year or is it just me? My timiing wasn't the best either with the front blowing in Friday but i had the trip planned for a while & had to stick with it.
All of the crappie I cleaned still had eggs so the best fishing maybe yet to come, what do you guys think? I might plan another trip in a few weeks.
