Ouch. Good thing the game warden wasn't around checking livewells at weigh in. That would have been hard to explain. Although he may have bought it.

My boat stays in the garage so it cant smell or the wife will kick it out lol

Bleach is your best beat,it will kill and clean and all you need is a cap full

Putting bleach in your livewell is not a good idea, yes I know you'll rinse it well, but the concern is recirculating the bleach through your pumps. It will corrode the metal pump shaft and impeller shaft worse than saltwater. There are other livewell cleaning methods more system friendly than bleach.
