Like Jimmy says, you can't fix stupid, lol! They need to outlaw trolling within 100 feet of another boat. That would fix most of the problem. But that makes too much sense

Generally when that happens to me, I just pull out and go somewhere else and let them flail away at the area they just flushed the fish from. No more heart-burn for me - whenever I see a bunch of boats grouped together, I just go on my way and find my own fish. No sense in ruining my day completely by getting angry when I can just leave them and let them flounder in the fishless waters....

Happened to us at Lewisville today. Fish were everywhere, boiling the surface. Guy in a red and white fish and ski comes right for us, slows down about 30 yds away, then sees the birds closer to us so guns it again for another 20 yrds or so. I yell at him to please turn off the big motor, he nods but then continues. Finally scares the school deep, then proceeds to ask what we were using. And for those that don't believe it, fish were biting all the way up until he motored in, then no bites at all. It does affect the school.

Atleast y'all have birds, ours left us. We fished surfacing fish all morning yesterday and not one single bird in sight. Go figure. Oh well I kinda like it that way.

We've got some birds at Hubbard but not like Twak, they are everywhere there.

When I troll my helicopter lure or banjo minnow rig I prefer to find as many boats as possible. The trick is to get as close as you can and to see how many other boats you can slap as you go buy. Its just crazy fun guys...
I'll be out trolling my magic bite lures today.

I like to troll, BUT would NEVER troll in an area where others are fising. I've had the opposite happen to me many times. I'm trolling in an area for hours and some [censored] sees me and comes and parks right where he has seen me catching. Of course, I just move to another area, or make a WIDE troll WAY around him. I just teach the kiddo to avoid any potential conflict and move on.

We had bad trollers in spades in the 1980s at Lake Livingston. Typically we would locate fish down on the old Hwy 190 roadbed, anchor down and start catching em steadily. The trollers which cruised up and down old 190 would see us and troll within 15 ft of where we were blocking our casting direction. Funny story: One day my Mom was out with neighbor Heleen, and they were catching fish right and left anchored on the roadbed. Then the trollers came and frustration set in. It got worse and worse and finally Heleen jerked up the anchor and took off in her deepV 24 ft run-about cutting across the lines of about 4 trollers. You could hear the lines breaking - zing, zing, zing, zing as she saluted them on her way. Mom always laughed when she related this story.
