Very nice catch. Wish I liked asparagus, I try it and try it and still hate the taste and that looks so good makes me want to try again.

I fished the slips for a 7 or 8 years ago on Grapevine. I'd put out a couple of minnow lines and use a jig in the immediate area. Even in the dog days of summer, I'd catch crappie and some bass from daylight til about 9:30 am. Then they would slow down or shut off. Caught fish every day.

Sorry about the picture quality, but it was pretty good. Thanks for the idea SlabMeSilly. Croquettes and asparagus on the grill.  Finished plate. Crappie croquettes, grilled asparagus, mac and cheese, and a couple little of Kobe fillet slivers just for good measure.  This dinner would cost you $40 dollars in a fancy restaurant. Great catch!!!
