Iam considering buying this boat and was wondering if anybody had any tips for me during my shopping and tire kicking. it has a 1999 Evinrude EFI 200 and a single axel trailer.

I just sold my 193. They are great boats and ride really well in rough water. I would do a pre buy inspection and have the compression checked on whatever you buy.

yeah I will definatly get a compression check. I kinda found it strange that a 19 footer has a single axel.

The boat and trailer are fine, but THAT motor is suspect.

The motor is a Evinrude EFI FICHT 200, I have heard very mixed reviews on this engine and this being my first boat it kinda makes me nervous. does anyone know whats the deal with this motor?

They were the final push that caused OMC to go bankrupt. If it has had the update it is a good motor. Update sticker is back of motor, high center w/date.

Something about the high pressure injection. These motors have a history of catastrophic failures.
