Partner and I fish out of a Triton 18ft boat now. We have been wanting to go up in size, but still like the ability to get where others cant in the big 20/21 ft boats. We have recently been looking at the Stratos 189 VLO with a Yamaho 150. What is the opinion by other fisherman on this boat and the performance, warrantys, etc.

thanks

I have not rode in a modern Stratos but from all the things I have heard, I believe that sticking with Triton is the right decision. Quality seems to be better but I do not know about the new ones since they are now owned by the same company. If you are intrested in a smaller boat, the TR-19XS seems like a sweet boat for the size.

I really like my new Stratos. It is the 294 XL Evolution. I have seen a few of the 189 VLOs. Looks like a really good design.

Had both and Triton feels more solid and rides a little better.

201Pro Stratos here and love it.......Very stable, fast boat, it is a older one. I like the ride better than my buddies Triton.

Ran into a storm at Lake Fork last summer, my Triton was totally full of water, didn't sink, not sure if this is a common trait of modern bass boats but I sure feel better knowing that it can withstand something like that.
