I've learned a lot on this board and I always check it before going fishing. I don't get to fish much but when I do, I like to catch 'em so reports are helpful. In that spirit, I thought it only fair that I share our success of Fork this past weekend.
The fish were shallow (and I mean on the bank). We caught 30 or so on Saturday in 0 to 2 feet of water with a frog (Dean Rojas style with the trailer looking legs). We fished several coves but the best one we fished was "no name" cove. (just south of the pump station on the west side). We pulled in to the first inside cove on the left and fished it all the way back. The blowups on the frog were awesome and we caught some nice fish (mostly slot fish but some unders). Biggest was 4 but broke off 3 times. The keys were landing the bait on shore then pulling it off into the shollow water, twitch it a few times and wait to set the hook. This pattern worked in several other coves too but no name was by far the best (I think it was because the dark grass that was from 0 to 2 feet).
Anyways, hope this helps someone else catch some fish. I see lost of reports but rarely do folks give exact locations. Not trying to take away the fun for you folks who like putting a pattern together but wanted to share with those who just like to go out and catch some good ones.
If you do hit no name, let me know if this pattern is still on.

We call that cove Snake Cove. I have never seen bigger or as many snakes in my life. There was one I swear he had just eaten a duck or something. He was huuuuuuge.

How long can you fish with the frog or can you go most of the day.
The gene pool could use a little chlorine.
