I am posting this here because the Boat and Motor section does not get the same traffic. I was wondering if anyone is running a 120 force. If so what pitch is your prop? I have a 24 pitch that I have been running on a 17 foot astro. It lugs a little with it around 4800. Lots of folks can not believe the pitch is that high. Can I get a little input if any of you have a similar setup? Oh just FYI fully loaded with two people is around 53 MPH and good out of the hole.

I had a 120 Force on my 98 procraft 18' and I was told by more than one mechanic that 17-19 would be the absolute max pitch you want on that motor, you want top end to be about 5000-5500 rpms to keep from overworking your engine.
I had a 17 that would make it jump out of the water and top speed was about 48.

Thanks for the input Jared. I am thinking about going down to a 20 turbo. I might give it a try just to see. It runs fine with the 24 that is on it now. I just do not want to lug the motor out. The Max RPM for my motor is 5250 so I am really not to far off.

I just looked but I have a 4 -blad "13 1/4 dia. Stiletto 17 inch pitch prop" that I had on my 120 Force, but it "WAS" and underpowered motor for my 22' cuddy Trophy (max speed was 34mph).
You might want to check with your boat's manufacture for the best prop options, or test drive a prop. Many of the stores in the area allow you to purchase a prop, test it, and exchange it or apply your $$$ towards an upgrade.

I'm working on setting up a 17' boat with a jackplate on a Force 120 right now and have done a little researsch on this subject myself. I think max would be around 23" and 19" on the minimum side. I should be taking her out for set-up Thursday night.

I swithced to stainless steel, but all they had was a 24. I have been looking for a 22 pitch stainless ever since. I might try a 20 pitch that they have this weekend.
