My new Nitro Z9 and first impressions after 12 days of fishing...

Here are my thoughts on my new boat so far.....
Performance..... The first thing I noticed was it's straight and true hole shots. I believe this is due to Nitro's RPS transom system on their boats With a 25 pitch Tempest prop it was up and on plane in 4 to 5 seconds. Top speed that I'd seen was 74.6 on GPS. Didn't push real hard as not fully broke in as of yet.
Fishability..... I think this is the largest forward casting deck of any boat I've ever owned. We fished two people off the front deck with no problems and plenty of room. The 36 volt trolling motor allowed for pin point accuracy and execllent boat control It has generous storage compartments from the deep center compartment to the good sized rod lockers. No problems for storing all my fishing equipment.
Comfort..... The padded forward casting deck had a nice soft feel and allowed for a comfortable day of fishing. The leaning post and seat was firm and not squishy like some I've had in the past. The console seats were comfortable and I like the internal spring systems. You do sit a little higher than most bass boat seats but after I got used to them I think it's a plus for forward and rear visiability, also easier to get up and down all day long, so not a problem. The console windshields are a stream line laid back style instead of the more stand up type that you find on most boats. It's harder to get down out of the early moring wind, but on the other hade they don't act like a sail board with the wind at your back when using the trolling motor which makes for easier boat handling, so I'll take that trade off.
Quality..... The overall fit and finish is as good as any boat I've owned in the past. All the hull and deck colors, finish is smooth and the colors are consistance. The fit and finish in the bildge area is incredible and the best I've ever seen.

I think it's just fantastic what all the other major brands have done for the industry over the years. It has made every boat manufractor improve the quality and craftsmanship of their products. Without them Nitro would not be the quality boat it is today.

And a final note..... Affordability..... No one can argue that Nitro is the most affordable boat going right now. The fact that their overall quality and craftsmanship has improved vasitly over the past few years and their pricing now has made Nitro the second best selling bass boat in the country and thats not my opion, it's a fact in any boating magizine.

Not looking to start a tread on Nitro boats, this is just my opion on my new Nitro so far, and I have had most of the major brands over the last 30 plus years of bass boating......

Thanks and good luck out there fishing....
Just remember......
Any boat that puts you on the water fishing and enjoying life with family and friends.....is better than no boat at all....

Yes I think they have a real nice affordable new bass boat but in the matter of if you need to sell it= woops. I have been through this more than once.

If I may ask. For that setup you have there, what was the price tag? Just asking since you say the most affordable? I am really looking at Nitros.

Gary Purdy....yes I know that Nitro's dont seem to resale in Texas. I read the other Nitro post that went on for days. i believe it's like any other product. Certain parts of the country they do well and others they dont for what ever reason. Here in the midwest we dont have a problem with resale on Nitros, at least what it seems like in Texas. If or when i sell my boat i will do it back here in the midwest where i can get the best resale valvue. But thanks for you input, all opions are always welcome.
Thanks to everyone else for your comments also......

Very good looking boat. If you are happy with it , that is all that matters. Enjoy!
