I got out for a few hours on Saturday evening. Just walked the banks behind Twin Coves Marina. In years past, I could throw a bobber and jig in 1-2 ft of water back behind the marina and catch lots of good crappie.....didn't have one bite this time around. Water a little murkey but not bad. Some nice flooded bushes. Don't know where they are....I don't think they would all be post-spawn now. It was this time last year I was catching them shallow. Didn't see anyone else catch anything.

twin coves slips still have eggs in the ones caught so they still haven't laid the eggs, but they should have already started I would think unless they are laying in the slips, but the slips haven't been nothing to come home about either. I'm thinking the high water is affecting them, I bet they are sitting in 5' of water in some structure if I had to guess, gonna hop in the boat and find out soon.
