They also eat white bass, turtles, and nutria. These gators help to keep other species in check.

I hope this is a troll post. Fork doesn't have many gators Not sure what a troll post is, but I did see it with my own eyes!! Unlike a 17.17 Bass out of L.C.. PVP ADD.

We have quite a few gators in Fork, most in Little Caney. It is not unusual to see several in a day in Little Caney, mostly from boat ramp to the back by the bridge. (Most I've counted in one day was 9, largest around 12 feet). If this was a legal harvest, the alligator had to have been hooked on private property, pulled ashore, then dispatched.

I don't know how much he needs to get his eyes checked. There is one by the railroad bridge in little caney that is huge. Watched him for a few hours one day fishing back there. He is BIG.

+1. Hard to believe someone would kill some dimwitted Gator. What is sporting about that? I always enjoy seeing Gators and think they should be left alone.

Amazing how little perspective people have for size when they see a gator. They all LOOK huge. Kept hearing about a 20' gator at Squaw Creek. Wow! A new world record for an american alligator right here in Glen Rose(old record 19' from Louisiana years ago). Then that one swims up next to my boat in the same creek people report the giant living and it looks big...about 8'-9' big. Imagination
