I assume you will be wanting to cast that weight far. I would recommend buying a weighted float. I fished Lavon and had my setup rigged on 7.5` PA spinning rod with 10# mono tied to a three way swivel one eye to line, one eye tied to top of weighted casting float the connection to swivel and float was accomplished with a small ring and the third eye was tied to a 2.5 to 3` 8# leader rigged with a 1/3 jig head and yum plastic shad white with sliver glitter. My buddy tornado and I slayed them on Lavon caught limits of white bass in no time. There are some hybrids mix in but did hook into one, guess the whites were too quick to chase our lures and caught those on every second or third cast.

Better get a balloon! I don't know of a bobber that will float 2oz! Try a pole float and rig it up slip style. You can find pole floats at walmart that are already weighted for casting distance. Just my .02
