Don't post much anymore because EM gets more than it's share of attention from others. Thought I would share todays trip since very few boats were out. Ran a teach trip this morning for a great group. Gulf of Eagle Mountain as expected. Finished the teach part early and did some catching. Fish were ten foot thick in one area. Slayed them for a couple of hours until we were all give out in the wind. Depth 25- 32'. Water temp 70 degrees. Baits, white/silver Dakotas. Birds were working mudflats early but, didn't fish them. Not many fish in the usual spots. Good Lord shined on us today as always. I have some weekdays open this month if anyone wants to learn the lake or do some catching. Tight lines.

You guys are brave. I was out yesterday and the wind was too much. I can only imagine what it was like today.

I didn't even know Eagle Mountain had hybrid in that lake. I suppose they are far and few between?

KayakMichael,

Have you tried the run in Bridgeport? There is a wingdam you can put in at and float down the Trinity. Some Hybrids and more than a few Smallmouth there.
