I finally got my new 24v trollingmotor rolling, so what better way to try it out than fishing brush piles in 30mph winds. 
Here's the timeline for a quick but super afternoon of fishing:
Finished mowing the yard at 2:45pm,
pulled out of the driveway with boat in tow at 3:30pm,
started fishing at 4:00pm,
caught first fish at 4:02pm,
caught last fish at 6:13pm,
left the boat ramp at 6:38,
got 'em iced down about 7:20.
Needless to say, the trolling motor upgrade was well worth it today! I couldn't have come close to staying on the piles in that wind today without it. A few people told me the 75lb/24v was too much for my 17' Xpress...well, I'd say this cooler with a limit of crappie says otherwise. 
Caught about 35, with very few dinks. Culled out a full limit of 25, with about 8 of those going 1.5-2lbs. Unbeleivable 2 hours of fishihg! (4 of the biggger ones in the second pic.)

What lake? I've never try crappie fishing. What are your secrets? I wouldn't know where to start. Perhaps you could share some pointers. Super nice slabs.

Minus having to mow the yard, that sounds like the perfect day of fishing. Congrats! Let me tell ya T.Dub...That mower was leaving a dust trail I was going so fast! lol! I knew I had to get it mowed before the storms, but I was dying to get out and fish with my new trolling motor. I have about a 3/4 acre lot, and it only took me an hour.
