I wave people by when I fish boat lanes. Faster they go less wake I deal with. I've almost went swimming cause people shut down when they c me. Screw that keep ur pace and less wake issues!!!

Dude, it's not like he's in the back of a cove. The boat lanes are the designated safe navigable routes. Respect? How about the guy in the middle of the boatlane respecting what it's intended for. If he wants to fish there, fine, just don't expect people to drop off plane, take waves over their boat, etc... just for his choice.

Dude? I got your Dude, just what I am talking about another who thinks he owns all of the lake can do whatever he wants no respect for others. But I guess you own the lake. Read the post he never said he was in the middle of the boat lane.

There are dozens of bass and crappie holes on or very near to the Fork boat lanes. I fish one or two of the bass holes on occasion.

To those of you who see people fishing near the boat lane: drive through on plane as far from the other boat as safely possible. This creates the smallest wake and quickest pass-by and the smallest inconvenience.

To those of you fishing in the boat lane: it's a boat lane! People are going to be driving by on plane. Understand that there are a million spots for you to fish on that lake (99% of which aren't near a boat lane) and you'll have to deal with a very small inconvenience if you want to fish that spot. Are you really so inconsiderate that you think you fishing that spot is worth making every other fisherman slow down through a main boat lane?

Gazoo go fish salt water in the shipping lanes and see how much respect you get there. Come on guy your in the boat lane you deserve to get swamped.

Regardless if he was in boat lane or not, if someone comes that close at a high rate of speed, that individual was operating their boat in a reckless manner.

If you choose to fish in the boat lane of any lake that requires navigation in those lanes, you should expect boat traffic. Yes, it's your right to fish there but don't expect an inordinate amount of courtesy to be extended to you by boaters.

I can't Beleive we still have Folks that can't Realize, that with fishing near a boatlane you have to accept certain things, LIKE.... That ARE going to be boats Traveling it!!

Why can you not also figure out that a Boat makes a veryminimal wake while on pad and much more of one if it sits down to idle by you?

On lakes Like Fork and Toledo Bend it is not safe to stray from the Bouy's, so If you are Fishing there You have to expect boat traffic. If you have boat traffic it is much better for it to be on pad.
