Regardless it is against the law to run on plane that close to a boat fishing. It is not smart to park in a boat lane but there is no law giving the OK to for people running that close to a stationary boat.
I fish a lot of tournaments too but that does not give me or anyone else the right to break the law.

It isn't against the law....the law states that you are responsible for the wake you create and any damage that is incurred because of it. Not word for word but that is the jist of it. Again...not taking sides...just stating the obvious.

I think its pretty selfish. Do a little research and find another spot. Boat lanes are our only real roads out there and you have to park on it to fish. All your saying to people is slow down and go around, I found some fish and I'm fishing here. Then come on here and complain about it.

Wether he is in the boat lane or not nobody needs to be blowing by on plane in a confined area for safety reasons. Should think of it like someone broke down on the roadside, slow down and keep a safe distance. Not defending fishing in the lane but some common sense on the water goes a long way.

Dude..you were in the boatlane. Not taking sides but that's like eating dinner in the middle of the street and getting mad because the cars are blowing your napkin off of your lap.

You might as well be playing "Kick the Can" on I-30, You mullet. If you can't find another spot, back off 40-60 yds and make long cast to your spot and hang on. if I see a fishing pole in your hand, my
rpm's might drop slightly. but if I see someone in distress, I am geting out of it completely!

Is the risk worth the reward???

P.S. A highway is dangerous, don't play on it!

So don't give me the look as you run the wrong side of the buoys and over the spot I'm catching fish and about 12yds off my boat at 40mph.

It's not my fault, but I would not want you to arrive 30secs late to your spot.

LittleGazoo, sorry about your problem. If it was me I would have shut down when i saw you were fishing, and you see why Bass Fisherman have such bad reps. I have Lived on lakes and have friend's that still do and they despise bass fisherman because of some of the same reasons. They think they have to run 80mph every where they go no respect for anyone trying to fish.

OK I was not going to comment on this. Forgive me if im wrong but if your fishing the submerged bridges and the people driving the boat lanes. Don't they have to slow down to continue under the bridge? If they are coming the other way then they are going slow any ways and can continue just a little further.

Please don't compare this to being broken down on the highway. People don't want to be broken down. This fisherman chose to park in the "highway" and he has to deal with fast moving traffic as a result. Your choice buddy so don't ***ch about it.

Not all of Fork's submerged bridges are right next to the standing bridges. Not sure where gazoo was at though.

I was replying to the guy who thought they should have to slow down for no wake zone bridges. Simply pointing out that he may have been elsewhere, thats all.
