Throwing a wrench into this discussion ... if you are looking at getting the Mettle at the regular $50 price, I would also consider the Quantum Kinetic PT. Cabela's has an "in store" price on it of $59.99 right now. And last time I checked, they still had both the 7.1 and 6.3 ratios available. I got one and all I can say is for that price (I think they are regularly about $130), it is one sweet reel.
This might be the weirdest, most pointless post ever. I am not against golf, since I cannot but suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering fishing
