I don't have coordinates for the exact roak crusher. But if you're looking for sandbass, you don't want the rock crusher proper anyway. There are several humps in the area. That's what you're looking for.

Go west of Twin Coves marina and look to the north shore. When you find the largest retaining wall there line up with that and head due south and look at your electronics. With that nice graph you got put it on side scan and you should find it. The sandies should be thick around Murrell park point. Also look at Meadowmere flat and around the island.

Bouy left us when the water came up. Have no idea where it went.

Thanks, I might head out to look for it after the storms pass.

There wasn't much point for the bouy. That thing rotted and colapsed decades ago. There wasn't a navigation hazzard...other than the bouy itself.

I made it out, found several humps in the area, but wasnt able to locate the rock crusher. I guess I'll try again another day.

I would think the COE would have that information. You might email them.

The humps in the area are generally what people are refering to when they say the rock crusher. I've heard there's an actual piece of equipment, or several, that was a rock crusher but I've never found or really looked for it. I guess on a SI unit it would be easier to make it out.

As stated above, the actual rock crusher equip isn't the "target" for that area, it's just a generalization about the area. If/when the buoy was there, the best fishing was the area west, northwest and north of the buoy. There are numerous humps spread out throughout the area and any given one can be good at any given time. You pretty much have to idle around and look for the baitfish/fish if the birds are not working the area. If you're looking to go now, the points outside of Murrell park are usually hot this time of year. A lot of sandbass will stack up there and the last spawners will use the windblown points to finish up there. Of course, the shad spawn will be kicking off too so that entices even more sandbass into the area. That's why the shore/wade fishing there can be dynamite this time of year, easily accessible fish from there. We had been doing that since the 70's, seining ghost minnow, wade out about thigh deep and cast = easy pickings. Of course, fishing from a boat works fine too.
