Just wondering how everyone started fishing. For me, I lived in shrevport la. and stole a book by jack lamb, (all about fishing) from the library. And it was over from there.
I live about 4 blocks to a lake, saved money from a paper route and bought a mitchell 300 with rod combo.Been fishing ever since.
I have fished in 20 states 6 countries, 4 oceans, and every day fishing was good. Caught fish every time..Ha ha.
Thanks for this forum, Ive got good info from here.

Five years old, wading in the poot mud of West Galveston Bay trying to keep up with dad, cousins and uncles. Can't ever remember not fishing.

Battled the bass tournaments for 23 years, now all I ever want to do is sight fish reds. Nothing else matters...ever.

I don't remember not fishing. Grew up with it and followed my father, uncle, and grandfather every chance I could. Fishing and hunting probably kept me alive and out of jail during my younger, wilder years. Now it keeps me happy.
