I was wade fishing at Lake Lewisville between the Lake Park ramp and the fishing barge. As I was in the water I spotted a huge shadow swimming in the water. I thought it was a catfish so I walked onto the bank, made a couple of casts around it and then it came crawling up the bank. It was a 30 lb. beaver!

Fishing lake Truman in Missouri last year I was running up the Osceola river as I approached a bridge a huge splash about 30 feet from me as I was running 70+. Spun around to see WTH just scared the [censored] out of me and seen a deer swimming towards the bank.

I was fishing with a friend who said, "Look a my line." He had cast a Tx rigged worm and the worm was in the water but his line was arched in the air as if he had cast over a power line or tree branch but we were in open water. No power line or trees. He reeled in his bait and made another cast. The same thing happened again. It was then that we both simultaneously realized that we were about to get struck by lightening and got the heck out of there. We were about a 1/4 mile away when we heard the crackle of lightening behind us.

Fishing lake Nac and watched the space shuttle crash not knowing what it was at the time and having pieces fall all around us. Mostly pieces of tile that floated but one large piece of metal about the size of a sheet of plywood flipping end over end and landing about 100 yards from the boat.

I grew up in south florida and lived on the intracoastal. The manatees would come up to the dock and drink from the water hose...they loved getting a drink of some fresh water.

crankbait wins in my expert, professional opinion. That would be really weird and interesting.
I can't think of anything really weird I've seen while fishing. I suck at this thread.

almost dropped my rod. Ended up feeding her some grass from the bank and she followed me home where I feed her lettuce for about 30 minutes weirdest and coolest thing Ive seen while fishing!
