a crazy guide who likes to yell at people for taking his spots. Jk...

Ive gotta say the day I stepped into some grass and found a dead gator gar.. might have jumped a few feet. Interesting looking fish they are.

Also, whhen I do catch a fish, I get kind freaked out. Its rare though

Bird

a loon is a bird that floats around on the water and dives down to eat baitfish and apparently crawfish because he liked my chigger craw. they can hold their breath for a super long time and i had no idea he was near me underneath the surface. i pitched to a tree and felt the classic double tap followed by the line going sideways i lean on it and the line heads for the top, and then a ticked off bird comes up and i had no idea what to do. he just flapped around and tried to fly a couple times, i kept feeding slack and finally he came loose, thank goodness. my partner by the time it was all done was laying in the bottom of the boat crying due to over laughter. good times.

I caught a big crappie at Pier 121 (Lake LL) and there was this blue herring on the dock. When I pulled in the fish and took it off the hook and set the fish down to get the stringer it came in and grabbed my fish and did just what you see in the video link below.

Seen a grinnel with lime green fins on bottom of the fish. Oh and fyi i fought a loon hooked on a jigging spoon half way across the lake. They do the breast stroke for a while. I cast at him only intending to shoe him away and accidentally caught him in the foot. They will ruin a crankbait bite for you.

Night fishing on Fork I saw a 6 foot snake climb straight up a 15 foot tall 8 inch thick slick skinny tree that was a straight as a toothpick and crawl into a hole at the top.

I caught an owl night fishing one time. Cast a black pop r out and I never heard it hit the water. Next thing I knew the rod was almost jerked from my hand.
I wish I would not have set the hook! My partner thought it was funny until the owl was in the boat. He still has the scars to show for it. We did get it unhooked and released though.
It was one pizzed off owl.

I regularly catch snakes when I'm frog fishing. Koppers are the best

I was wading waist deep skipping a fluke trying to catch this monster Snook. A baby manatee had swam up (I didn�t even see it) and breathed on my hand�..scared the s%@t out of me! almost dropped my rod. Ended up feeding her some grass from the bank and she followed me home where I feed her lettuce for about 30 minutes weirdest and coolest thing I�ve seen while fishing!

as for mine, a coot caught upside down in a salt cedar by its toe. Had its toe caught in a y of a branch... broke the branch took a pic and turned the coot loose

a little bird landed on my trolling motor then about 2 seconds later a hawk swooped down about 2 foot over my head and tried to get the little bird i guess

but that manatee is pretty cool!

I witnessed a Hawk trying to snatch a 10+lb carp repeatedly a few days ago.... Crazy.
