 HELP ME PLEASE!!!

My boat has had some issues in the last year. My fuel pump went out and I sent it to the shop for a new one. The next time I used it the power head went out(ouch). Followed by the lower unit 3 weeks later. I just discovered that the fuel pump that was installed is not even made for marine use. It says this in bold print on the side(that was hidden). My question is, because this is obviously not the right pump; would that cause the other problems? Thanks for your help.

Its a 1998 Johnson 200HP, sorry I see how that would be relivant. Thanks for your help. Its on a Stratos 201Pro XL same year model.

sounds to me like you need to get a lawyer... lol ... dont really know much about this kind of stuff and would like to hear a real mechanics input on this... Only thing I can think of is if its oil and gas is seperated then it couldve been burning to much on the oil side and messed something up or if its a mix then it was not getting enough oil and yea... but iono GOODLUCK!!!
