Anyone else using these? I have one Falcon that I like a lot, but no Dobyns, Kistler, Loomis, Duckett, or other big name/high quality rods. I recently bought 3 of the Team Daiwa T rods and they seem to me to be some really good rods for the money. Just curious as to what others on here think about them.

I don't have any experience with them but for price I would go with either a Vendetta or a BPS Bionic Blade.

Have 2 Vendettas and have had several Bionic Blades. Like the Vendettas OK but the Diawa T costs a little less and has 10 guides like the Veritas. Most of my Bionic Blades have lost at least one insert, so I'm not going to buy those anymore.

I am really confused by this statement you made. You say you have no experience with the Daiwa rods but are reccomending the ABUs over the Daiwa based on price point alone. If you were to take a minute and compare specs and price points you would see that the T rods have a ton of higher end components from the Fuji ECS reel seat to Fuji Concept guides. The T rods are in the $59.99-69.99 range which is a steal considering componenets. They balance great and I was impressed by what I saw. I am loyal to another rod brand or else I would have a box full of the T rods. I promise you if you see one in person you would swear it is a $150-200 rod easily. The ABUs are nice and I am not knocking them in the least but comparing components alone there is a huge gap there in favor of the T rods. Everyone that has seen or bought the T rods are blwon away.

I've used quite a bit of high end USDM and JDM rods and also believe that the Daiwa T rods are a great buy especially at that price point.I have always been impressed with Daiwa's offerings from the Procryons to the zillions (steez are ok IMO). They also have great customer service.

I was beginning to think I was the only one using them. I just hope they don't raise the price once the secret gets out about a good rod at a good price. That happened with the new Lew's reels, the Tournament Pro started off at $180 and they raised it to $200 once everyone on here started praising how good they are.

I have not used the Daiwa T.....but I absolutely love my team s rods.....I own several dobyns champion extreme rods, but find myself pickin up the $100 Daiwa team s rod most of the time. I know it's not a better rod, but I really like the way it feels.....

Mark, thanks for that honest evaluation of the Daiwa T rods. Good info from someone who spends a little time on the water...

I believe the t rods are an upgraded, updated version of the s rods. I could be wrong though

I was wondering the same thing. When I do a promotion and show people these Daiwa rods Team Daiwa T or the Procyon, I hand them to them and ask them how much do they think they cost and they will say at least $150, then I show them the price tag and tell them they really need to fish with them.

T rods are a new item. They still have the S rods. The two series do not share components or blanks. Both are stand alone series.

T rod price is very good for me, and so is the rod. I like them! And Tackle Warehouse is having a 10% OFF Stimulus Sale Discount on most items till 4/20 so I just ordered another Lew's Tournament Pro to put on the 7'6"H that I just recently got. You don't see the 10% discount till you add something to your cart.
