The tactics of our sea fishing may be quit different from yours.
So this is just for sharing and exchanging ideas.

Must-have features of a saltwater rod:

Be able to cast very long distance(up to 100 meters)

Hook large fish with the chained hook system which have many hooks and big bait.

Advanced reel for landing the large fish.

Use the ring attached on the rod as the indicator of hooked fish, A better solution than the bobber in the sea where often have big waves.
Easy fishing. Just listen the ring, no need to watch bobber all the time.

Flexible and precise control of depth of hook and bobber(when it’s used).
