There is a very distinct difference between those who "would" drive that fast and those would "could." I've proven that I'm in the latter group. On Fork once.
That video was shot on the rim canal that surrounds Lake Okeechobee from the looks of it. I can't think of a better place to air one out, so long as the folks downstream are notified ahead of time.

I can't even imagine. You would definitely be the first one to the good fishing spot. He has some balls.

Well, they build those motors and boats for someone to drive, that's for sure. I have been that fast on land and that was iffy enough. My Nitro is fast enough on the water for me. Yep, if you lose it even just a tiny bit... it's all over for sure for boat and driver.

That boat is owned and driven by a friend of mine named Brent Holbrook from Tampa Florida. He is one heck of a boat driver and has owned another bass boat capable of even higher speeds with TWIN Merc 300's.
I have owned 5 boats that would run in excess of 100 with the fastest being an Allison 2002 bass boat with a Merc Drag SS motor. That boat ran 117 with me solo with the troll motor removed and one battery. It would run 105 loaded to fish with me and a bud. The boat now belongs to a good friend of mine and is kept at Martin's RV park at Fork. If you see a white and red Allison with a little short shaft Merc that sounds like a Pro Stocker don't pick a race with him. LOL

84 is the fastest I have driven. The boat was not tuned for that speed, and it was scary (lower unit, prop, etc). I don't care to run faster than 80 on the water ever again.

Of course. Doesn't everyone drive their boat as fast as it will go? Only the idiots! That's right. You Oklahoma boys just like to idle around me real slow and double click the way point button. Whats the going rate for fishing with such a legend these days???
