I've stopped at this rest area many times, and always wondered if there are any decent bass in that lake. So, I had a bit of tackle in the car today and pulled in and made a few casts.

I don't think there are many bass in there, but this one hit a chartreuse spinner pretty hard, and ran straightaway for some brush and limbs. Fortunately, I was able to get it up on the bank. I'm guessing about 3.5 pounds.

Pretty fish and area, nice job and way to be prepared. I'll bet there is more in there too.

Nice fish, and yes your shoes are untied!

15. Signature images may not be larger than 600 pixels wide by 125 pixels tall. This includes logos, photos and other graphics. Also, no more than one row of images are allowed. If you want four or five logos in your signature, reduce their size to fit in one row.

Geez, my shoes are untied on purpose, as they fit fairly snugly and comfortably without lacing them up.

There is a raised area on the south end of that lake that is submerged by a few inches of water. As I approached that area, I saw several fish scattering from the shallow water.
